This building, originally built in 1903 as Dannemans Grocery, was a vacant eyesore to the community since 2001, but has been resurrected and is now a beautiful eye-catching restaurant-bar-lounge lining the streets of this historic area.

As you drive down Edgewood Avenue from any direction you come upon a beacon of life in the middle of the night as you spot the exterior lights of Café Circa, which clearly lets you know that this place is definitely existent on Edgewood. Once you enter through the large glass doors of Café Circa you will immediately be drawn into an openly warm and welcoming atmosphere that comfortably accommodates a true dining and lounging experience suitable for business meetings, casual luncheons, happy hour social gatherings, weekend book clubs, listening parties, a date night, and even late night snacking at the midnight hour.

With over 100+ seating capacity, Café Circa has the seating arrangement to complement any restaurant, bar, and lounge experience.

  • Settle in the premium booth seating at the front of the house, which takes a commanding view of the entire scene, but still keeps its privacy slightly tucked behind velvet drapery.  The perfect setting for a private corporate meeting and/or celebratory dinner party with dedicated bottle service and a pleasant wait-staff to be of total service.
  • 25 barstools hug the majestic 38 foot sandstone marble bar wrapped by a band of gorgeous mosaic pearl tiles, built to serve libations of all kinds.
  • 8 hand crafted lounge chairs wrapped in supple chocolate leather surrounding granite coffee tables perfectly set for a late night date to simply share a slice of Café Circa’s scrumptious crème brulée cheesecake with someone special.
  • High top premium wood grain tables centrally located in the middle of all the action and perfectly positioned to comfortably enjoy a bite to eat with friends or witness the live musical entertainment on particular evenings.

The ivory silk accent lights radiate a soft amber glow throughout Café Circa.  Exposed brick lines one of the perimeter walls with 5ft long custom mirrors perfectly positioned to reflect the Café Circa scene hang along the brick walls directly above the beautiful bench seating. A touch of elegance tops it off with the softness of ivory sheer drapery that provides the seated patrons with a sense of private elegance.

On select evenings the premium booth seating transforms into an intimate stage area with peek-a-boo windows accented by candlelight beautifully set to unleash performances from talent ranging from jazz/blues artists to salsa-style sensations to soulful modern phenoms who all add musical flavor to the overall positive energy and eclectic vibe of Café Circa.

State of the art High Definition plasma televisions placed above the bar allows patrons to simultaneously view live musical performances, catch the latest sports score, or just remain abreast of today’s current news and events.
